Ostos Rincón Gallardo Abogados is a criminal law firm based in Mexico City. Gerardo Ostos Rincón Gallardo founded it in 2023 and leads it actively, present at hearings and personally attending to every matter.
Since 2023
We handle economic crimes, including account freezes by the Financial Intelligence Unit (UIF), civil asset forfeiture and money laundering, with amparo (constitutional relief) as the central defense tool in each of them. We practice corporate law when the matter has a criminal link. We do not take matters outside this field.
Before accepting a matter we conduct a viability analysis. When the criminal route is not the right one, we decide so from the first conversation.
Fourth generation
At Ostos Rincón Gallardo we litigate with a four-generation family tradition in the practice of law, beginning with Enrique Ostos Luzuriaga, the first criminal lawyer in the family. Gerardo Ostos Rincón Gallardo is the second, after thirteen years of litigation at his father's and uncle's firm, and today leads the firm as the fourth generation.

How we work

Judgment. We assess the viability of every matter before accepting it and choose the right route, not the one we are asked for. Not every wrong is a crime: when the matter is civil, commercial or administrative, we say so.

Immediacy. We act the same day the bank gives notice or the prosecutor issues a summons. Deadlines that pass do not come back, and the first action decides how much room there is to litigate the rest.

Due process. We defend the rights of people with a first and last name, with the presumption of innocence and without labels before sentencing. That rule also holds when we represent the victim.

Discretion. We are bound by professional secrecy. We do not discuss ongoing matters, we do not publish whom we work with, and we accept only the matters that warrant the firm.
